Two Hurt In One Car Bridge Crash Near Sunol Iowa
A Clinton mother Mary Jane Heath aged 38 and her five year old daughter Janine Kaye Heath were critically injured when their 1957 model car struck a bridge on Highway 30 two and one half miles east of Sunol. The steel rail pierced the front of the car and exited the back window over six feet, the cause of the serious injuries. The driver was Elsie Osborne 66 mother of Mrs Heath. The car carried only 1237 miles on the speedometer and was en route to Portland Oregon where Heath and Osborne planned nursing work. A roadside witness confirmed the swaying before the collision. Blood was donated by Sioux Ordnance Depot workers to aid the victims. Osborne was treated for facial bruises and not hospitalized.

Donald Phillin Schuetz three week old son of Mr and Mrs Schuetz of Sidney was found dead in his crib yesterday morning. Funeral services set for tomorrow at 9 from Craig Mortuary with Rev Albert Albel officiating and burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Survivors include the parents two sisters Aan Marie and Beth Ann and grandparents Mr and Mrs Juillin Seatz of Dalton and Mr and Mrs Robert Wilmott of Alliance.
