Editorial on Nebraska Safety Council debate and nature’s mood
The piece argues legislature refusal to fund the Nebraska State Safety Council reflects public confusion over the role and funding of safety education. It praises the council's work but urges that it be privately funded and not government dependent, noting editors’ varied stances on economy versus safety. It then shifts to a weather-mood essay about Mother Nature’s caprice and describes recent floods. It warns about common domestic fire risks and urges attention to fire prevention and safety practices amid spring storms and warnings.
