E T Westervelt, Burlington right of way man, filed a mortgage with County Clerk Doran covering the Burlington system from Chicago to Denver. The Sidney Electric Service Co has won a Union Pacific contract to light the round house, shops, and hotel. Eight incandescent lamps and three arc lights will be installed immediately. Passenger and freight depots have already used the electric service for several months.
