Nebraska Wheat Outlook Boosted by Rainy Late Spring
USDA projects Nebraska winter wheat yield at 96 448 000 bushels with Panhandle at about 20 million. If maintained this would be the fourth largest Nebraska crop on record. Farmers hope for continued good growing weather as rains and late freezes influence harvest expectations, with harvest to begin late in the month and mainly in July.
