Cheyenne County Fair Dates Set for September 10 13 1935
Cheyenne county will have a free fair this year on September 10 11 12 and 13 the fair board decided Tuesday night. Improved agricultural outlook and an upturn in economic conditions influenced the board to resume the yearly event. Glen Bales was elected president with J H Campbell vice president O A Olson secretary and Early Winter treasurer. The chamber of commerce pledged cooperation to make the four day fair the biggest ever. The board has not set a program yet but plans to start rolling the bail at the next meeting in two or three weeks. The county commissioners had appropriated 3000 for the fair, up from 2000 in 1934, funds previously unused amid doubts about 1935. Rainfall has improved the outlook and the board is hopeful for a strong return.
