I 80 traffic draw blamed on poor U S 30 signage

About half of the traffic that U S Highway 30 formerly carried now uses Interstate 80, with estimates showing 2300 cars daily between the Sidney interchanges on I 80 versus 2050 at the western city limits on U S 30. Local motel and service stations blame reduced traffic on confusing exits and lack of large signs. Officials say sign installation is slow due to steel post shortages, with no firm completion date this summer.
