Booster Trips Grow For Ft Sidney Days Parade
Interest grows in the annual Ft. Sidney Day booster trips slated this weekend across western Nebraska and northeastern Colorado. The caravans promote Ft. Sidney Days with novelty gifts and music, with the Sidney High pep band joining on Friday and Saturday. Participants meet at 7 a.m. at the courthouse east door in western dress. Ft. Historical Group To Accept Artifacts At Ft Sidney Days Museum
The Cheyenne County Historical Association will begin accepting historical articles and artifacts when the Ft Sidney Days Museum opens on June 14. Donors can use special forms to record data about each item and items will be displayed at the museum before storage in a fireproof room at Sidney Central Ward Grade School. The collection continues ahead of a hoped museum site donation near Sidney by Mr. and Mrs. John J. Treinen.

Army Reserves Begin Summer Training at Fort Carson
The 427th Ordinance Battalion unit of the U S Army organized reserves left Sidney Sunday for two weeks of annual summer camp and field training at Fort Carson Colorado. Col Harold Katz commander leads the unit in its last camp with Katz moving to Alabama. They expect to return June 17 and numbered just under 20 men at departure.
