At 2 o clock a filled Tobin opera house heard an updated program including addresses by J TL Melintosh, songs by the choir, recitations, and a benediction by Rev. Garrett. Potter School boys hosted Sidney Juniors for a lively baseball clash. Sidney led early and Potter briefly took the lead but the game ended unfinished after sideline crowd interference as bases were loaded and an overthrow entered the stands. Officials and players deplored the abrupt finish and hoped for a rematch.

Marius Christensen has entered the service of his Uncle Samuel and taken a clerkship in the Sidney post office. Fifteen Scholars Graduate From Sidney High School
The Sidney High School commencement on Friday May 29 marked graduation for the largest class yet, with 15 scholars honored. The opera house overflowed as Klein's orchestra performed, Miss Johnson led the class song, Rev. Hayes gave the invocation, and Irene Sweet delivered the salutatory. The program included piano duets, class history and prophecy, a vocal duet, and the valedictory by Henrietta Shoemaker. Emcee J L McIntosh urged focus on life as well as livelihood and praised the school’s best-ever year.

Judge Grimes and others spoke on law topics, Judge Wrobart was elected president, and a closing banquet followed an automobile drive. Iron plates dumped on Burlington track near Lorenzo
A large set of iron plates was dumped on the Burlington track near Lorenzo on Thursday, risking a serious wreck.
