Hernandez Set for June 26 Boxing Hall of Fame Show
Middleweight Art Hernandez returns to the ring June 26 in a 10 round feature at the Boxing Hall of Fame Show in Las Vegas. His opponent will be Doug Huntley of Los Angeles, who has four wins in five bouts this year with two KO finishes. Huntley’s lone defeat came by split decision to Art Hernandez, elder brother of Art. Huntley was the 1965 national Golden Gloves middleweight champion.

25 Inch Eel Caught In Nebraska Creek Sparks Interest
Don Hather of Lexington pulled a 25 inch American eel from a sand pit south of Lexington. The eel weighed about 7/8 pound and fought like a larger fish, a rarity in Nebraska waters outside rivers. Records show eels in Missouri and Platte rivers since 1880, with a 1966 Platte River catch and a 1958 prior report. The eel spawns in the Sargasso Sea and the young travel upriver to freshwater habitats.
