The Hockenbury System of Harrisburg plans a 550000 sixty room Sidney hotel funded by local capital covering about sixty percent with mortgage financing for the rest. Fred C Burris as campaign director and Victor Patterson as associate director lead a planning committee and campaign headquarters at 12th and Illinois Street. The Hackenbury Company has run hotel campaigns nationally and would assist in design and management if capital is raised.

Reiners Services Held on Saturday
Relatives and friends paid last respects to eight year old Gwennie Reiners at St. Patrick�s Church. The child died Tuesday night May 29 after five months illness from an incurable bone disease. Rt. Lt William Dean Lewis has joined the Sioux Ordnance Depot staff. Lt and Mrs Lewis and their son Bill arrived in Sidney to live in the officers quarters. Lewis served at the depot 1944 to 1946 and was called to active duty June 2 this year.

Services for Mrs Anna Bartholomew 82 long time Sidney resident will be held at 10 this morning at Gehrig Funeral Home with Rev Neal Morris officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. She was born March 7 1869 in Quitman Missouri and married Jacob S Bartholomew in 1885 at Rock Port. They lived in Sidney from 1919 until his 1933 death then moved to Denver. Survivors include five children Odessa Bartholomew Stewart Nelson Roy Don Joe and four stepchildren plus a sister and twenty grandchildren.
