A vehicle rammed the house breaking a picture window and wall, knocked down two entrance doors, caved in garage outbuildings, uprooted a clothes line, torn a yard light pole, caved in a milk house door, and over a hundred feet of wood fence was ruined with the vehicle running through the downed barrier. Estimated damage exceeds 74000 dollars. The Parks, part of the long-time owners since 1870, have an unoccupied home as Mr Parks works as a water hauler in Sidney and his wife as a stenographer at Sioux Ordnance Depot.

Bodies Of Two Are Taken From Lake McConaughy
An Arapahoe man Austin Leiss, 50, and his 12 year old stepson Donald Kuntz were recovered from Lake McConaughy at Ogallala after their small boat capsized in a severe storm. Earl Frost, about 43, also from Arapahoe, was in the boat and reached shore after two hours in the water, barefoot, to summon aid. Frost and the boy wore life jackets.
