Thursday evening last week Mrs Griffith returned home to a crowded party with laughter lights and noise. Friends presented a cut glass creamer and sugar bowl to mark a birthday she would rather forget as she kept her temper while the hostess offered a sunny mood and a lavish repast. Mrs Lowe and Mrs Whitelock hosted cards for twenty four ladies with floral decor and a highly successful luncheon. Mrs Sager won first prize and Miss Anne Radcliffe second in the games.
