July Was Wet Month For Area
The Sidney area saw above average rainfall in July with 2.69 inches recorded at Sidney Airport by mid Thursday, well over the 21.5 inch normal. Eastern Cheyenne County fared better than western portions, Potter-area farmers termed it mighty dry, and rains earlier this week hindered harvests before drier air and cooler northwest systems could ease the situation.
