Western Nebraska reports the twelfth highway fatality of the year after a 12 year old Sidney boy, Harry Leland Richardson, was struck by a car driven by Chester Peters of Spring Lake Minnesota while biking with another Sidney boy. Peters was questioned. no charges anticipated. Funeral set for Tuesday at Sidney Church of Christ.

Dr Burr heads to Europe for three years with Army Medical Corps
Dr Bill Burr leaves tonight for New York City and then Germany for a three year tour with the United States Army Medical Corps. A Nebraska University College of Medicine graduate, he just finished a Spokane internship. His family cannot accompany him yet but will join him in Europe later. Mrs Burr and young Cynthia will visit Sidney before joining him.

Creighton Staff to Study Heart Disease with Nebraska Grant

Two boys aged 12 and 13 were identified as suspects in a Rose Hardware Store break in Potter on July 17. One boy is from Potter and the other from Oklahoma. Frontier Airlines Loan Approved for Convair 340 Purchase
The Civil Aeronautics Board approved a guaranty for a 2.5 million dollar loan to Frontier Airlines. Proceeds will complete negotiations with United Air Lines to buy a Convair 340 twin engine aircraft and spare parts. Flights using radar Convair aircraft began in Nebraska July 1 on the central route via Scottsbluff North Platte Grand Island and Lincoln.
