Early County Settler Louis Kurth Dies at 74
Louis Kurth, about 74, longtime Cheyenne County settler, died Sunday in Hastings. Funeral services were held in Hastings with burial there. Born in Illinois, he came to the Colton area as a child, later farmed near Sidney Draw for 25 years, then retired. He lived in Hastings eight years in an old peoples home and never married. Survived by brothers Henry of Broadwater and George in Illinois, plus nieces and nephews in Sidney.
