The Electrical Atomic Fuse Club met at Dennis Gades home on April 25 1953 to discuss Electrical Connection and ten safety rules. Members learned soldering, then refreshments were served. Wayne C Whitney, extension horticulturist at the University of Nebraska, says there is time to plant several vegetables for a fall harvest. Suitable crops now include bush beans beets chard cabbage carrots cauliflower kohlrabi and cucumbers with August 1 for leaf lettuce Chinese cabbage August 15 for peas spinach and turnips and September 1 for radishes.
