Death of Former Sidney Teacher Alice Johnson
Miss Alice Johnson of Springfield Nebraska died July 9 in a Lincoln hospital from complications after an operation for bowel obstruction. She had just completed a successful term at Billings Montana high school and planned to return there with a higher salary. A State University graduate with high honors she was remembered here for teaching during Professor Danforth's era. Her Sidney friends are shocked by the loss.

Miller and McKinney Receive Marriage License in Sterling
Harry L. Miller of Sterling Colorado and Miss Beryl McKinney of Bridgeport Nebraska were granted a marriage license Thursday by Judge Tucker. Miller works for the Burlington in Sterling and is a son of F. B. Miller, former superintendent of the Sterling division. The couple plan to reside in Sterling and the Telegraph notes the groom's upright bearing.
