A week of medicine show entertainment south of the court house drew crowds but little attention to the gambling and watch contest. Sidney celebrated by staying home, with many visiting Lodge Pole Potter and Dalton while most preferred the quiet. J L McIntosh spoke, the local ball club beat Chappell, A J Guernsey won the 100 yard dash, Sheriff McDaniel’s horse placed second, and visitors came largely from Bidney. Oberfelder’s offered hand sewn gloves for railroad men at popular prices.

Union Pacific Test Case In North Platte Land Fight
The Union Pacific files a federal court test case over ownership of the outer 100 feet of land along Front Street in North Platte. Defendants include Roy B. Tabor Trustee W M Cunningham and the city. A refereed sale of real estate was held at the court on Wednesday. The land sold was the southeast quarter of section 32, township 16, range 48. Benj Harms purchased the property for $1,350.

Ranchman Yerger Battle Ends with Fines in Court
Ranchman Yerger of Angora sued three neighbors Otto Krueger William Hutchins and John Kuhl claiming threats of bodily harm. Judge Tucker presided. On Thursday Kuhl was fined five dollars and costs, while the other two defendants were discharged.
