Chlordane Advice Against Cockroaches from Nebraska Entomologists
University of Nebraska entomologists advise using a two percent chlordane spray to control cockroaches in homes and basements. The product, sold in drug stores under various trade names, should be sprayed into cracks around baseboards, behind cupboards, in cracks behind walls, and applied to basement ceilings near sewer drains and heating supply lines. It is poisonous and must be kept away from food and out of children's reach.
