Independence Day Parade Route on Linden Street
The Independence Day parade on Friday will travel down Linden Street instead of Jackson Street. Children 13 and under in the parade should meet at the Sidney Public Library at 8 30 a m. The parade starts at 9 a m and proceeds to the Post Commander's home for the 36 star flag raising. Prizes for best entry will be awarded at the Lodgepole Valley 4 H Youth Camp before groundbreaking ceremonies.

Biggest Fireworks Show Planned for 1976 Bicentennial
Plans for next year’s display begin with Friday’s all aerial show at Verde Lane Dam in Sidney. Mike Hartzler says donations and pledges will be sought this summer as the county’s largest fireworks event aims to mark the nation’s 200th birthday.
