The 22-employee facility handles up to 500 cattle weekly, with payroll over $150,000 and links to local markets including distant destinations.
Cheyenne County Lumber Co supplied substantial building materials for the remodeling of the Sidney Beef Co structure. The well stocked yard kept contractors busy and aided a quick, smooth job. Dave Neubauer, manager, credits local availability for the efficiency.
The Sidney Ideal Stone Co supplied cement blocks for the new Sidney Beef Co plant. The blocks were used broadly in the construction of the plant’s new sections as part of a policy to buy all supplies locally.
