B. B. Wright of McCook has purchased the Alliance Country Club for $12,500 and will assume operation on May 1. He plans a new heating system and has bought furniture for the club. L. S. Copple will stay until Oct 1, 1947 to operate the golf course, saying the club could be the nicest in western Nebraska if the community supports Wright.

Shirley Ann Kealy three and one half months old died Tuesday at a local hospital after pneumonia. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at The Gehrig Funeral Home and burial was in Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by her parents two brothers and two sisters and three grandparents.

Kaune Service Held In Sidney Thursday
Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the Catholic Church for Henry Kaune 83 who died last Sunday after a long illness. Msgr Anton Link officiated and interment was in the Catholic Cemetery. Gehrig Funeral Home was in charge. Kaune had lived in the Potter community since 1911 coming there as a farmer. He is survived by five children.

Caucuses Scheduled Wednesday Evening in Sidney

The State Federal Division of Agricultural Statistics reports Nebraska gross farm income in November 1946 at 84,302,000, up about 56 percent from November 1945. For January through November 1946, income reached 806,679,000, roughly 21 percent higher than 1945. Projections suggest 877,759,000 for the year with December potentially raising totals near 899,850,000. Net income typically runs about half the gross.

Ten beet growers who produced the highest tonnage in each Nebraska Great Western Sugar Company factory district in 1946 were honored at a Scottsbluff banquet in a Methodist church.
