Meyer urged local demand for a doctor while Leafdale discussed the upcoming census. The dinner prior to business ran at 6:30, sponsored by an American Legion auxiliary committee.

Tenor Keystone Sunday School class meets at parsonage
Nine members of the Keystone Sunday School class of the Methodist Church met Thursday afternoon at the parsonage with Mrs. C. R. Fitz as hostess. Due to other activities of the day the attendance was small. The afternoon was spent in conservation and needle work. Light refreshments served brought the party to a close.

Beta Gamma Holds Regular Meeting in Nebraska
Beta Gamma Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met at Mrs. Cecelia Michelman's home on Wednesday night January 18 with nine members and social sponsor Mrs. Nellie Smith present. The lesson The Story of Speech was given by the perces assisted by Jeanne Mar el. A spell down concluded the evening. The Ritual of Jewels was discussed and presented by Mrs. Betty Sprengel. A Canasta party to honor husbands and sponsors was planned for Jeanne Markel's home on Saturday February 4. Refreshments ended a pleasant meeting.

Homemakers Group Meets January 20
The Homemakers Project Club met with Mrs Clarence Meyer Friday afternoon January 20, with twenty two members and two visitors present. Mrs Floyd Treblik and Mrs Robert Michelman presented the lesson cooking tender cuts of meat and demonstrated roast beef broiled steak and deep fat fried liver. Mrs Ross Glassburn presided and urged a larger club for 1950. All interested in joining are invited to meet February 21 at 1:30 in the Legion Hall. Mrs Glassburn and Mrs Clyde Robertson served refreshments.
