The Ideal Drilling Co will spud in Hopkins No 1 east of Gurley for The Ohio Oil Co as an offset to Egging No 2. It is the second well Ideal has drilled for Ohio in the east Gurley pool. Depth will take about ten days to yield significant formation data per Ohio’s Casper office. The rig moved from Big Springs after a wildcat test and earlier drills were north and west of Ohio’s east Gurley discoveries.

Funeral services for Harry Hoyt Heath, 64, will be held Wednesday at the Austi Funeral Home in Julesburg Colorado. He died Friday in Hastings. Burial follows at Pleasant View Cemetery north of Lodgepole. Born Battle Creek Iowa June 27 1885, he was the son of Harry and Phoebe Heath. He is survived by three daughters Mrs Hoffman Lodgepole Mrs Phurley Bellflower California and Mrs Vincent Julesburg and one son.

Illicit Lovers' Fare Thwarted by Relatives in Sidney
A 29 year old NYU student and his 19 year old sister in law were halted in Sidney on a two week flight toward Reno for a divorce. Their family, after intervention at the post office and a service station, escorted the woman away and the man returned to New York. No charges were filed.

Heavy Fire Destroys City Shed at 11th and Newton
Fire damaged a city shed on a lot at 11th and Newton early Friday morning, with losses estimated between 2500 and 3000 dollars. Fire Chief Arnold Braasch said an overheated oil stove started the blaze, burning a partition, roof section, much equipment, and a street truck. A nearby garbage truck was also scorched. Harry Amundsen, waking to open the Green Lantern Cafe, reported the blaze at about 4:50 a.m.
