Sidney Loses To Scottsbluff In Rough Wrestling Meet
Sidney High School varsity wrestlers fell to Scottsbluff 24 to 17 Saturday at the junior high. Rich Slocum 127 pounds defeated Dick Dasher 12-8 in a crowd pleasing bout. Dennis Mika 154 pounds edged Mike Darnall 4-3. Rod Anderson, Gene Bonesteel, and Ray Kenton also posted losses as Scottsbluff built its lead. Sidney reserves fell 21 to 19. Upcoming meets include Torrington January 29, Ogallala January 30, and Gering February 5 with Cheyenne East February 6. District tourney February 13 in Sidney and State February 19-20 in Lincoln.
