New fishing laws take effect in Nebraska on February 1. There will be no closed season on trout bass crappie sunfish bullheads catfish pike and freshwater drum. Pike limits five sunfish and crappie five, all other fish ten. All persons 16 or over must have a fishing license. Licenses cost $1.10 single. combination hunting and fishing license is $1.60.

Mrs. Guill, Formerly of Dalton, Is Dead
Mrs. J. C. Guill, sister of Mrs. A. J. Jorgenson and Mrs. Raymond Scott of Sidney, died January 13 in Seattle at age 64. She lived in the Dalton area from 1916 to 1940, then moved to Richland, Washington, in 1940 and later to Port Blakely near Seattle in 1944. She had been in failing health for some time and critically ill since Christmas Day.

Sixth Oil Well Test Is Plugged At Chadron
The Amerada Petroleum Corporation plugged and abandoned its sixth Chadron area well, South Dakota Agricultural College No. 1 in the Smithwick block, as dry after a Schlaumberger electrical log showed no commercial oil.
