Anglers use chisels to cut holes in the ice, lure fish with minnows or worms, and move between spots until crappie and perch schools appear under the ice. Rules for season dates and permits apply, with recent Area no. 2 musk rat and mink trapping closing and 15 arrests reported for hunting and permit violations.
