A $360000 suit filed in U S district court in Cheyenne by Jimmie Rex Lambert of Pine Bluffs seeks damages for injuries from a car train collision last November 2 at a grade crossing west of Pine Bluffs. Lambert alleges the railroad’s negligence led to the loss of his left leg, while he worked as a carpenter on interstate I 80 bridge construction for Leon K Suhm Construction Company.

Chrysler Head To Speak At Western Nebraska Dinner
Virgil Boyd newly elected president of Chrysler Corporation will be the featured speaker at a Western Nebraska United Chambers of Commerce dinner on February 9 at the Alliance Elks Lodge. Reservations are handled by the Alliance Chamber of Commerce. Boyd, a former Alliance resident, ran an auto dealership from 1951 to 1954. Alliance residents plan a homecoming for Boyd and his wife, who will fly in aboard Chrysler’s business plane.
