LPV Tourney Opens At Dix With Four Games
The Lodgepole Valley Conference basketball tournament kicks off in Dix on Thursday with four games. Dalton and Sundl start at 2 p.m., Gurley and Dix follow 90 minutes later, then Lodgepole vs Broadwater at 6:30 and Bushnell vs Potter at 8. The format guarantees two games per team, with six teams in three-game chances. Lodgepole is the favorite, defending champion from last year’s 57-51 final over Potter. Potter, Dix, and Dalton are strong contenders.

First Trapshoot Set Here Sunday
Five registered trapshoots are planned at the Sidney Gun Club in 1955. The first match will be held this Sunday with a program of 100 singles targets 50 handicap and 2 pair of doubles. Other shoots follow on March 6 April 3 May 1 and Oct 2. Scores may be registered in the Amateur Trapshooting Association records for a $1 fee.
