After mornings session nineteen bills were introduced inclining from initiative and referendum to a penitentiary twine plant. Leaders emerge in both houses while the US Supreme Court upholds the bank guaranty act with Governor Aldrich urging direct legislation and a strengthened primary system, adjournment set for March 1.
The County Superintendent allocates the State Aid fund to poorer districts to cover at least five months of schooling. Three vacancies exist with one on March 1. Teacher exams are set for January 20 and 21. Cheyenne County receives $999.64 from semi annual state funds. A Supreme Court decision limits water tax liability for nonbenefited property owners in city water works. Local social events center on gatherings hosted by Mrs. Bassett, Mrs. Corbett, Miss Fuller, and Miss Radcliffe. Box-ball club plans noted for Sidney ladies.
The regular teachers examination will be held at the Court House on January 20 and 21.
