Dear Friend expresses liking for cheese and notes various types and prices seen at a grocery store. Edam at $1.00, Swiss at 25 cents a pound, Brick 25 cents per pound, Limburger 25 cents per pound, Philadelphia Cream 15 cents per brick, Full Cream 25 cents per pound.
Advertisement notes two engines the Chore Boy at 1.5 HP priced 4500 and the Hired Man at 2.5 HP priced 5500 from Jackson Furniture Company. It promotes gasoline plants and lighting systems and mentions the First National Bank statement highlighting a good financial showing.
Dr. James W. Robertson argues labor should be valued both manual and intellectual as dignified work rather than scorned or evaded. He warns against a culture that looks down on toil and promotes unnecessary class divisions.

Dr James Monroe Graham died Monday morning January 9 1911 at M E Hospital in Omaha from kidney tuberculousis after long illness. Born Willis Virginia 1878 he trained at Maryland Medical College and New York Polyclinic later practicing in Sidney after moving from Calloway Nebraska. He was a Mason and Odd Fellow and wife Carrie Conduff survives with daughter Ruth. remains laid to rest in Willis Virginia beside two infant siblings.
Workmen invite the Degree of Honor to join in a Thursday night installation. A pleasant spread followed and was greatly enjoyed by all attendees.
W H Adams purchased H W Redingtons Pool Hall and has taken personal charge. Redington plans a visit in Denver.
Twin boys were born to Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hirmeir on Saturday January 7 and neighbors offer congratulations and best wishes.

Watchman Horn recovered ONeill’s overcoat. Jack McCleneghan traveled to Omaha to bring wife home. Caswell returned from Kansas visit and resumed work. Union Pacific ice house filling began with 600 tons stored by twenty workers and a teamster, expected in a week. Survey teams studied Sidney-Bronson and Colton routes for double tracking to keep Sidney on main line. Southern Pacific offers 2500 reward for one or two train robbers. Utah governor adds 500, total 5500.
Mrs. Ernest Kruse Sr is reported seriously ill with la grippe at her home. Her condition is being watched by attending physicians as the family seeks quiet and care.
At the annual election the Sidney Fire Department named F. W. Vath as Chief H. Schroeder as Assistant Chief Robi. A. Barlow as President A. K. Greenlee as Vice President E. D. Worden as Secretary F. B. Tobin as Treasurer Foreman Wam. Null and an executive committee of Greenlee Schroeder Closman were chosen.
