The couple, long residents of Sidney, were married January 15 1889 in LeRoy Colorado. Their daughter Mrs. James Westfall and another daughter Mrs. Walter Happel of Alliance will be present. The Thimgans, 73 and 72, are in good health. He is a carpenter and she a nurse. Both have invited friends to call during the afternoon.

Trucker Fined For Using Wrong License Plates
Oklahoma trucker John Foley was cited by State Patrolman William Oltman for hauling 30 000 pounds of potatoes with improper license plates. County Judge Robert A. Barlow fined him ten dollars plus costs after a guilty plea and required him to obtain the proper plates at the county treasurer before continuing the load.

Old timers recall no January storm like the twelve hour rain in Cheyenne County. Sidney saw almost an inch of rain before snow, ice coated streets, and plow crews clearing main streets. Highways opened Monday afternoon. rail schedules mostly intact as storm stayed west of North Platte. The week yielded near an inch and a half of precipitation with additional light snow Thursday morning. Forecasters predict colder weather but little moisture ahead.

Jacob Young Succumbs in Potter Community at 75
