Olive Hicks Buried Sunday
Funeral services were held for Olive Hicks at the Potter Lutheran Church with Rev. O D Hoagland officiating. Arrangements were by Craig Mortuary. Burial followed in Potter Cemetery. Hicks, 77, died Jan 5 after a long illness, having lived in Cheyenne County since 1907 and later in Potter. Survivors include two sons, a daughter, three sisters, and numerous grandchildren.
Rancher Dies At Son's Home In Gurley
Perry Howe, 78, a retired Cherry County rancher, died of a heart attack at his son Perry Jr's home in Gurley. Born December 20, 1877 in Maysville Indiana, he married Fannie Benson in 1919 at Broken Bow. Surviving are two daughters Kathleen Sparks Nebraska and Helen Valentine, son Richard Valentine, and a brother James. Funeral services and burial will be in Valentine. Gehrig & Son Funeral Home in charge.

Sidney police court Saturday fined Clarence Heath 16 and F. C. Asher 28 for disturbing the peace after a New Year’s Day incident in front of the police station. Officer Bauer testified he struck Asher while restraining Heath. Asher said Bauer attacked him unprovoked. Attorney P. J.
