Funeral services for Mrs. August Lentfer 64 of Crook Colorado were held today at South Divide Lutheran Church with Rev. George Pullman officiating. Burial followed in South Divide cemetery. Surviving members include Rex Lentfer of Crook her husband two sisters Mary Hapken of Bruning and Anna Niemeyer of Belvide Nebr and brother Gerhard Ortgies of Chicago. Lizzie Ortgies was born February 19 1888 in Bruning Nebr and lived in multiple Nebraska and Colorado locales before moving to Crook.

Sidney school bonds sold to bank for new facilities
The Sidney board of education sold 300000 dollars in school bonds Monday night to Central Republic Bank of Omaha, with six companies bidding. The funds will finance a new elementary school south of Toledo street and an addition to the northward school, architect Eugene Sternberg of Denver says construction could start this spring for the 1953-54 year, weather permitting. Crowding in lower grades is expected next fall with many kindergartners arriving in September.
