Clarence Theodore Robirds 66 died suddenly Wednesday night at his home from a heart attack. He lived in the Peetz area 52 years, farmed southwest of Peetz, then worked at the Sioux Army Depot. Funeral Saturday Jan 4 at 2 pm at Gehrig and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Scott officiating. burial Peetz Cemetery. Survivors include Bernice his widow, daughter JoAnn Goen of Sidney, five grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, two great-step grandchildren, brother Joseph E. of Sidney, and sister Belle Cropp of Manitou Springs. He was a WWI veteran and member of the First Christian Church and American Legion.

The first baby of 1964 in Cheyenne County arrived today at 12:05 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. Mr and Mrs Willard Jean Jeannette of Dalton are the proud parents of a son weighing eight pounds two ounces. Eighteen local business establishments will present awards to the baby and parents. Accident Damages Reported In Sidney Collision
At 10:35 p.m. Tuesday at 1431 Dodge Street Sidney Police report a parked 1963 Ford owned by David Batt was struck by a 1963 Chevrolet driven by Kelly Quinn from Lodgepole, who was on the wrong side of the street. Damages totaled 1650 with 800 on the Batt car and 850 on the Quinn vehicle. Quinn faces driving while intoxicated charges in county court. A separate 8:21 a.m. Wednesday collision at 13th and Cedar involved a 1955 Pontiac driven by Allen Ely and a 1955 Buick driven by Eugene Owens, with Ely’s car damaged by about 100.

Soren F. Thorpe 73 died early Friday of an apparent stroke while en route to a hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday Jan 7 at 2 p.m. at Wesleyan Methodist Church with Rev Duane Naumann officiating and Greenwood Cemetery burial. Survivors include wife Maude three sons a daughter 16 grandchildren five great grandchildren and several siblings. He lived in Sidney Bayard Gurley and other Kansas towns, worked at Sioux Army Depot and farmed before retirement.

Rosa Augusta Morgan 86 died Tuesday night at Memorial Hospital after a month and a half. She lived over 50 years in Cheyenne County and was born in Sidney. Funeral held Friday at 2 p.m. Gehrig and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Monnich officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. She was a Virginia native, married Frank A. Morgan in 1892 in San Antonio. A Spanish American War veteran, he died Sept. 22, 1922. Survived by one nephew Arthur Glaze, three nieces in San Antonio and Portland, four Sidney and Seattle cousins.
