A partnership of Harry McClintock W H Gilmore Sr and his sons Reed and W H Gilmore Jr purchases the Kimball Gas Products Co plant 14 miles south and four miles east of Kimball. The Antelope Gas Products Co will extract fluids from gas and oil wells in southern Kimball county and northern Weld and Logan counties producing about 8.5 million cubic feet of gas daily and roughly 54 000 gallons of condensates daily while extending its gathering line to the Allchin Field six miles west.

Driver Escapes Injury In Side-Swipe Crash West Of Sidney
A Gering resident escaped serious injury late Thursday after falling asleep and sideswiping an auto transport headed opposite on US-30 seven miles west of Sidney. Robert Hoff of Gering, driving a car, hit Emil Schmal of Davenport Iowa’s truck, causing about 300 dollars damage to the car and 50 to the truck. A second Wednesday accident involved Harvey Wood of Sidney and Herbert Hruska of Sic, with roughly 400 and 300 dollars damage respectively.

Fire damaged property in Sidney and surrounding rural areas last year totaling $42,200, excluding $109,000 in an oil rig blaze near Sidney.
