Charges Filed In Fist Fight at Wheat Belt Club
County Attorney L M Clinton said he would file assault and battery charges against Gene Williams after a Saturday night fight at the Wheat Belt Club left Edward Engel of Sidney with a fractured skull and serious injuries. Engel underwent surgery in Cheyenne on Monday. a steel nasal bridge had been displaced. State Patrol assisted the mercy run to Cheyenne, with urban Gay and Mel Busekist clearing the way. Engel was reported to be recovering satisfactorily.
