Maccabees Celebrate Fraternal Joint Meeting Event
The Ladies and Knights of The Maccabees held a joint meeting in the old court house with a large audience. Sir Knight W P Miles led a forceful history lesson, musical numbers by Miss Vinnie Bordwell and a duet by C D Essig and Miss Edna Murless, then a double installation. The event featured a remarkable drill by the Lady Maccabees degree team, praised by state commanders, with Lady Elia Mark and Sir Knight Dopkins in attendance. A royal feast at the Metropolitan hotel followed, catered by Mr Dedrick and wife, closing a festive evening.
