Rural home fire west of Colton causes 8000 damage
A late Thursday fire nearly levelled a two story frame home 3 percent miles north of Colton, traced to smoldering weeds. Occupant Rich Rocha reportedly burned weeds Thursday afternoon. No injuries. Fire responders included Sidney Rural and Gurley departments. Owner listed as Alvin Johnson of Denver, Cole.
