Governor Sees 16 Guard Units At Risk In Cuts
Nebraska Governor Anderson warned that a 30 percent nationwide cut in National Guard strength could force the liquidation of 16 Nebraska units and may even end Guard presence in some states. He spoke to Crete delegates seeking funds for a new Crete armory and said state money is ready for a $200,000 structure with federal aid possible for 60 percent.
