Sidney High School's fifth annual Mid Winter concert will unfold Sunday at 2 30 p m in the junior high gym with George Hinn directing and Jerry Wolf as student director. Program includes Law and Order March and River Jordan Fantasy among others. The performance follows a radio broadcast on KXXX Colby and KMMJ Grand Island featuring the band and director.

Motorist’s License Is Lost On Points
Police records show that Robert Coleman of Sidney has been suspended for one year on the Nebraska point system after accumulating 13 driving demerit points. Offenses include three speeding convictions, one illegal left turn, and one signal violation in Scottsbluff Lancaster and Morrill counties. Suspension effective date is November 26 of last year in Morrill County justice court.

An eight year old Gurley girl Lila May Kurth died at Cheyenne County Memorial Hospital after months of leukemia. Funeral arrangements through Gehrig & Son in Gurley. community sympathy poured in from Michigan to Illinois. The Gurley American Legion and Auxiliary led a fundraising drive, raising about 378 dollars plus 100 dollars via church contributions to help with medical costs.
