Kimball County Deep Oil Showing Reported by Shell
Shell Oil Co confirms a moderately deep oil showing at Travis No. 18 in Kimball County below the sand in the southern Panhandle. Drilling reached 8 065 feet with no showing between 7 952 and 8 050 feet as the team planned a deeper test toward granite. This first such showing in the southern Panhandle follows previous finds in nearby fields and notes new oil ventures and locations across Kimball, Banner, and Cheyenne counties.

Two Drivers Jailed Five Days for DUI Offense
