Cheyenne County Sheriff Office investigates a Dalton burglary at Farmers Co-Op Service Station Friday evening. About 83 dollars in cash was taken. Sheriff W W Schulz says theories exist but no definite leads yet. He notes it appears to be a local break in as the safe was unlocked rather than forced open.

Leo E. Osborn, 74, a Sidney resident for 72 years, died suddenly at his home on King Street after a heart seizure. Funeral services were held at First Methodist Church with Masonic graveside rites at Greenwood Cemetery. He was a pioneer homesteader, longtime insurer, and a civic leader, survived by his wife Anna, son Ralph, a sister and three brothers. He was born June 2, 1884 in Illinois.
