Oil field unit pact boosts Doran Farms sand production
The Doran Farms Field west of Sidney adopted a new J sand unit agreement effective Jan 1 1958 to share production pro rata among land and mineral holders. The D sand unit started Nov 1 1954 and has doubled potential output by restricting wells to efficient oil production and reinjecting gas. Two wells have been repurposed to J sand, with more to follow as fields deplete, aiming to extend the unitized operation and raise overall recovery.

The city will present its oral appeal before the Civil Aeronautics Board in Washington this month to secure direct air links with Omaha Cheyenne Casper and Denver. Major General F A Hansen Assistant Chief of Ordnance and Chief of the Field Service Division visited Sioux Ordnance Depot on Wednesday accompanied by Colonel Walter Partin Commander of Pueblo Ordnance Depot Pueblo Colorado. Officials did not reveal the visit's purpose noting routine inspections by top Ordnance officials are standard procedure. Hansen leads the Field Service Division overseeing storage issue and maintenance of general supply items and ammunition in over two dozen depots including Sioux.

Federal Land Bank Cuts Interest Rate in Omaha
