A Brownsboro Alabama family en route to Sunnyside Washington faced tragedy when Peggy Elaine Marsh ten died of a diabetic coma after falling ill in a Cheyenne County motel. The Lodgepole Boy Scouts held their annual Father Son banquet on Wednesday February 12 at the Legion hall. Don Wise presided and invited J H McNish of Sidney to speak on Courage. Charters for Explorers Scouts and Cubs were handed out by Dick Knudsen. Tokens went to oldest father Charles Bills age 80 and youngest son James Brandt six months. Two fathers tied for having three sons in scouting Donald Hafer and Bud Markel. Dale Wise Cubmaster led Cub awards and two boys graduation from Cubbing. Scoutmaster Lloyd Bauer and Albert Fraass assisted in the Court of Awards for Scouts and Explorers.
