Stanley Vizina 42, former Sidney resident, died suddenly in Cheyenne Saturday afternoon after illness. Funeral planned at 2 p m Tuesday in Cheyenne. He operated a Cheyenne garage since 1933. Survivors include wife and two sons, father Frank Vizina of Wymore Neb., and several brothers and sisters including Harvey Vizina of Sidney.

Winter weather returned to Nebraska with a light snow in Sidney and widespread ice and wind east of there. Ozauzla reported eight inches of snow, driving was heavily disrupted and multiple accidents occurred on slick highways. Skies were to clear in Scottsbluff by Monday, temperatures near 35 to 45, last night about five above zero. Farmers hoped for moisture to aid wheat while wind remained a concern for soil. Compared with last winter, the past six weeks have been milder overall, though roads and railroads had been blocked for weeks and there was over forty inches of snow on the ground in places. Oil rig crews continued winter work with minimal interruptions.

South Sunol to Get Telephones Under Farmer Plan
The last frontier for Cheyenne County telephone coverage will vanish as plans to extend a farmer owned line from Sunol toward the Colorado line are completed. J. R. Miller of the Sidney exchange says materials are being vetted by WY. W. Bell and a meeting is set for Friday at Sunol High School. Fifteen farmers led by Joe Bankie wicz Jr. organized to secure service and spring completion is hoped.

City Board Race Attracts Wide Field Of Candidates
Eighteen petitions for City Council were filed at the City Clerk's office before the Monday deadline. Names include A. J. Jorgenson Carl Le Jones Mrs Edith Grieve and others with five current council members running again. Petitions require written acceptance within twenty days to appear on the March 14 primary ballot. The primary will nominate ten candidates. five will be chosen from them for the April 4 general election. City Clerk Gordon Tobin said petitions will be checked for legal validity and no signer may back more than five candidates.
