Nebraska 4-H Camp Delegates Named From State
Four Nebraska youths including Jack Peters of Sidney are selected as top 4-H members to attend the National Club Camp in Washington D C this June. Others named are James Pollard Nebranka Marilyn Ramesberger Hampton and Edna May Hartwell Big Springs. Each delegate travels on an all expense trip from the Omaha World Herald. Peters, son of Mr and Mrs J C Peters, operates a livestock and wheat farm with his twin brother Jay and father. He has 10 years in 4-H and 32 registered ewes with 334 fat lambs sold. Hartwell, daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Hartwell, Big Springs, is noted for teaching rural school and her work in Junior Fair and food preparation.

Auto Crash Causes Light Damage At 11th And Illinois
Sidney police reported a light damage collision Tuesday at 2:05 pm at the corner of 11th and Illinois. Edwin Zwicki, driving a 191 Oldsmobile coupe, turned a corner sharply and hooked the left rear fender of a 1950 Chrysler four-door owned by Raymond Lessmann, which was parked at the curb.

Raddatz Home Damaged By Early Tuesday Fire
Fire caused heavy water and smoke damage at the farm home of William Raddatz seven miles southwest of Sidney. Discovered Tuesday afternoon, the blaze was confined to a second floor bedroom. Investigators believe a lighted bed lamp fell onto the bed, reducing draft with a door and window closed, allowing smoldering flames to persist.

Gas at Gurske No 1 well shows promising test
Gas at Gurske Ohio's No 1 well produced 20 thousand cubic feet in a late Thursday test at the top of the third Dakota beach. A spokesman said the sandy shale core indicates the sand top was reached and the test was good. Further tests will measure reserves across the third bench. The company hopes the sand proves as prolific as at nearby Mather and Cruise wells.

State School Lands to Lease in Kimball and Banner Counties
The State Board of Education Lands and Funds will lease all state school land in Kimball and Banner Counties on February 24 marking the first time all such land in a county is under lease.
