The Ohio Oil Co plans a new well 4 miles north and 2 miles east of Sidney in Cheyenne County, Wyoming, within two to three weeks. Desertion Charge Leads To Arrest
Harold G. Ramsey age 21 alias Hansen Peterson Meyers was arrested in Sidney on navy desertion charges and taken to Scottsbluff to custody. He worked for a travelling photography firm here after being hired by a local agent. Deputy Sheriff Arnold Braasch obtained a confession after Ramsey, wanted by Wyoming authorities, was identified. Ramsey joined the navy at 15, deserted in 1944, escaped jail in 1947, and has been at large, linked to a Wyoming car theft case.

Thomas Berry 23 pleads guilty to forgery in Cheyenne County and is sent to the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln for a two and a half year term. General Fair Meeting Set at Cheyenne County Fair
