Veterans To Gather Monday To Observe Spanish War Rites
A Spanish war memorial service will be held in the legion rooms of the city auditorium next Monday night February 15 starting at eight oclock. The public is invited. Ruth Kimmel, a United Airlines stewardess aboard the San Francisco crash flight, was a roommate and long time friend of Luella Weiland, sister of Sidney Weiland. Train Strikes Auto Man Escapes Severe Injury
J. M. Hughes a Huntsman farmer narrowly escaped death when his car was struck by Union Pacific train No. 9 at the Tenth avenue crossing. The car, fastened to the cow catcher, was pushed about 50 yards before the train halted opposite the depot baggage room. Damage was minimal.
