Union Pacific Early Day Train to Be Exhibited
A historic Union Pacific train resembling the first passenger train through Sidney arrives next Wednesday at 1 00 p m for a 45 minute display at the Union Pacific station. The exhibit includes Car 1 a combined mail baggage and passenger car Car 9 a passenger coach from 188 Car 97 an emigrant sleeper Car 101 an early business car and a small old time locomotive with a funnel stack. The cars have been restored to near original condition and a sleeper berth will show how early travelers slept. A portion of the Union Pacific Historical Museum with Lincoln relics will be shown. The public may inspect the train inside and out as time allows. The train heads to Cheyenne for the city’s February 17th anniversary celebration and will stop at Sunol at 12 35 p m.

One Day Snow Storm Visits Western Nebraska
Western Nebraska received a surprise snowfall after over two months of springlike weather. The storm dropped a good amount of snow across the plains, followed by a cold snap with temperatures dipping to six degrees below.
